Consistent expansion in the business-to-business mail order business
1945 The success story of KAISER+KRAFT began with its foundation by Helmut Kraft and Walter Kaiser in Stuttgart. At that time, KK only had 4 employees. The traditional customer was the manufacturing tradesman. KK's wide range, quality and professional advice soon made them the leaders in their market sector.
1967-1983
At the end of the sixties, the first affiliated companies were acquired, such as Vink en Zonen in Holland (1967), Frankel in France (1973) as well as new foundations in Great Britain(1974) and Switzerland (1974). Important branches were to follow in Belgium (1975) and in Austria (1983).
1985
This was the year of the takeover by GEHE AG.
1986-1989
Our market position in Europe was further strengthened by new foundations in Italy (1986) and Spain (1989). Portugal (2001) followed some years later. KAISER+KRAFT is therefore now also represented in South Europe.
This consistent expansion policy was continued with new foundations in East Europe.
Within three years, offices were also opened in Hungary (1990), Poland (1992) and the Czech Republic (1993).
In 1997 the mail order centre in Kamp-Lintfort was opened.
This new high-tech high-rack warehouse doubled storage capacities. We can therefore attend to our customers
in the best way and are well-equipped for the eCommerce market of the future.
1990-2001
2002-2005
In 2002, KAISER+KRAFT broke into the market in Asia for the first time with a new foundation in Japan. Since 2004, KK is also represented in Shanghai.
But that is not all: Economic growth in Turkey is also above average. Our new branch will offer the most successful items from the KAISER+KRAFT range. From May 2005 on, catalogues will be sent to the economically most important region in the Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara triangle.
