Handwheel lockout – robust locking element for secure lockout-tagout applications
The handwheel lockout reliably protects valves from accidental operation. As a durable locking element for lockout-tagout applications, the maintenance lockout fully encloses the handwheel and supports clear securing during maintenance and servicing work.
Made of high-quality polypropylene, the access prevention device impresses with its high resistance, durability and non-conductive properties. The handwheel lockout covers all common valve sizes and is therefore suitable for numerous areas of application in industry, trade and technical systems. An integrated knock-out section also allows use on handwheels with a spindle and expands the application possibilities.
To secure it, the handwheel is fully enclosed and locked with a padlock. The handwheel lockout is designed for padlocks with a shackle diameter of up to 9 mm. As part of lockout-tagout, the locking element clearly signals that the valve is closed and must not be operated. This clearly identifies workflows and effectively reduces operating errors.
The handwheel lockout is ideal for securing valves and prevents accidental access to the handwheel. It supports the consistent implementation of lockout-tagout measures and helps to prevent misunderstandings in day-to-day work as well as resulting workplace accidents. The robust locking element offers a reliable solution for safety-relevant maintenance and service work.
