STAT-mat® absorbent sheeting mat PIG, heavy-weight model

The STAT-MAT® absorbent sheeting mat PIG in the heavy-weight model has been developed for the safe absorption and containment of spilled flammable liquids. It is suitable for demanding spill-response and cleaning tasks in workshops, production areas, laboratories, warehouses and technical operating environments.

The mat consists of eight layers of 100% polypropylene. The permanently bonded material is absorbent, does not fall apart and leaves no lint. Even when fully saturated, the mat remains tear-resistant and does not fray. As a result, it can be reliably picked up and disposed of without causing additional contamination to the affected work area.

The STAT-MAT® model has been specially treated to reduce electrostatic discharges and counteract static build-up. This supports additional safety when handling flammable liquids and ignitable vapours. The mat absorbs, among other substances, engine oil, hydraulic oil, petrol, diesel, paraffin, acetone, ethyl alcohol, toluene and xylene. Water is repelled. At the same time, the mat floats on water and can therefore also be used to absorb oily liquids on water surfaces.

The heavy-weight model is more durable and more absorbent than conventional nonwoven mats. It is therefore suitable for extensive cleaning tasks and recurring applications. Perforation across the width enables separation as required. With dimensions of 380 x 510 mm, the mat can be laid out quickly on affected areas. At the same time, the perforation across the width allows separation as required and makes it easier to adapt to different operational situations.
