  • High explosion protection (burst resistance) due to special fabric and coating
  • Reduction of smoke development due to high stifling effect
  • Temperature resistant up to 1750 °C (1000 °C over extended periods)
  • Retains exploding parts due to the high burst resistance of the material
  • Reduces smoke development due to the high stifling effect of the material
  • Batteries can be charged by charging socket feedthrough
  • Prevents any potential electrical conductivity of the battery
  • The cover is cut resistant when placed up against sharp edges
  • For environmentally friendly and resource saving fire suppression
  • No maintenance required, material is weatherproof and does not corrode
VLITEX safety shelving units for rechargeable batteries provide reliable protection from battery fires and are available in two sizes.

Specifically developed for the safe storage of lithium ion batteries, the shelving unit ensures that fires remain contained without jeopardising surrounding areas. In the event of a fire, the fire resistant material immediately reduces smoke development and provides effective protection from the spread of flames. The shelving unit also helps significantly reduce the ambient temperature, making it the perfect solution for safe and rapid fire prevention in workshops, warehouses and industrial workshops. The shelving system is easy to use and the frame (boltless shelving unit) including a cover can be assembled in just a few minutes. The very low inherent weight ensures that the shelving system is quick to reposition. The material used for the fire containment cover consists of a high performance fabric and fulfils the requirements of DIN SPEC 91489. It effectively prevents the spread of fires and provides reliable protection from the risks of a battery fire. Can be used several times depending on the fire load and damage such as cuts or holes.

Cover material: special glass fibre fabric with silicone coating, connections with fire repellent thread seams, acid and chemical resistant
Fastening strap: special glass fibre fabric with silicone coating on both sides

Sustainability
Recyclable
Recyclable products are products that can be recycled at the end of their service life, providing they are separated into all their individual components in designated recycling facilities. This means that the individual components are made of materials that can be exploited using the recycling process and be reprocessed into new products. Recyclable products help reduce the environmental impact of waste and to conserve resources.
