The VLITEX PREMIUM fire blanket is a fire containment blanket specially developed for battery fires. As a preventative measure, it is placed over a crashed electric vehicle to protect the surrounding area in the event of a fire. Used as a fire blanket, it reliably and quickly smothers conventional fires. It keeps an electric fire contained under the blanket, thereby minimising damage to the surrounding area. The special fibreglass fabric with its particularly dense silicone coating withstands temperatures of up to 1000 °C for extended periods, and even peak temperatures of 1750 °C. It contains exploding parts due to the material's high bursting strength. A battery fire, which does not require an external oxygen supply and therefore cannot be smothered, burns out in a controlled manner under the blanket. The PREMIUM fire blanket is suitable for anyone who deals with fires on a regular basis. Depending on the fire load, it is reusable.

The German manufacturer VLITEX GmbH equips the fire brigade and industry, among others, with safety products based on technical textiles. Tested according to relevant standards:
– Certified according to DIN SPEC 91489
– Temperature resistance certified by KIWA (1000 °C)
– Short-term temperature resistance confirmed by Magna Steyr (1300 °C)
– Short-term temperature resistance confirmed by in-house test (1750 °C)
– Electrical resistance according to DIN 54345-1 confirmed by Hof University of Applied Sciences (< 1.0 x 106 Ω)
– Cut resistance according to ISO 13997:1999-08 confirmed by STFI (18.45 N)

Recyclable
Recyclable products are products that can be recycled at the end of their service life, providing they are separated into all their individual components in designated recycling facilities. This means that the individual components are made of materials that can be exploited using the recycling process and be reprocessed into new products. Recyclable products help reduce the environmental impact of waste and to conserve resources.
