The bimos TEXON ESD industrial chair has been specifically developed for sensitive work areas in the high tech industry, which are also known as EPAs (ESD Protected Areas). It provides effective and reliable protection from electrostatic discharge and helps to significantly minimise the risk of damage that can occur as a result.
It fulfils the strict requirements of the international standard EN 61340-5-1 and therefore provides maximum safety. It is an excellent choice for the electronics, microchip and semiconductor industries in particular. The chair also sends a strong signal with its ergonomic design and high level of comfort when the user is seated: the health and well being of employees always has utmost priority.

Ergonomics: the ESD TEXON adapts to the user's movements on the basis of the auto-motion technology and provides the perfect level of support in any position. The basic mechanism enables synchronised forwards and backwards motion of the seat and back rest. The seat and back rest can be locked in three positions for more support.
The Flex-Back is a flexible element underneath the back rest, which extends the range of movement even further to the rear. It provides more comfort, especially when the back rest is fixed in place, as the back remains easy to move while also being sufficiently supported. If this is not wanted, it can also be fixed in place.

Thick, exchangeable seat cushions for maximum comfort when seated, available in three models:
Skintec: a world innovation for chairs! Fabric upholstery with a layer of Bomix sprayed on for optimum support. Soft, comfortable, washable and easy to clean, hardwearing, conductive and sustainably produced.
Fabric cover: actively breathing, soft and comfortable, particularly suitable for clean ESD areas.
Supertec: fabric upholstery covered with sturdy micro armour. Hardwearing and robust, comfortable and soft, actively breathing. Easy to clean.

Flat, powder coated aluminium base with load dependent braked ESD castors.
Good to know: even the slightest unwanted voltage equalisation between surfaces with different charges can damage sensitive technical components. This can result in high follow up costs in the form of subsequent failures, complaints and repair costs. For this reason, electrical components may only be processed in an Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA), which ensure full earthing during all operations at an ESD workstation with special equipment.
