The bimos ESD TEXON work chair was specially developed for the sensitive working areas of the high-tech industry, known as EPAs (ESD Protected Areas), and offers effective, reliable protection against electrostatic discharge, helping to significantly minimise the risk of damage that can arise from it.
It meets the strict requirements of the international standard EN 61340-5-1, thereby providing maximum safety. It is an outstanding choice, particularly for the electronics, microchip and semiconductor industries. Furthermore, with its ergonomic design and high seating comfort, the chair makes a strong statement: the health and well-being of employees always have top priority.
Ergonomics: thanks to the Auto-Motion technology, the ESD TEXON adapts to the movements of the user and provides perfect support in every position. The basic mechanism enables synchronous movement of the seat and backrest backwards and forwards. For greater support, the seat and backrest can be locked in three positions.
The Flex-Back is a flexible element beneath the backrest that extends the range of backward movement even further. It offers greater comfort, especially when the backrest is locked, as the back remains gently in motion while still receiving sufficient support. If this is not desired, it can also be locked. Convenient gas-spring height adjustment. The swivel work chair features a low-profile, powder-coated aluminium base with load-dependent braked ESD castors.
Thick, replaceable seat cushions for maximum seating comfort, available in three versions:
Skintec: Textile upholstery with a sprayed-on Bomix layer for optimal grip. Soft, comfortable, washable and easy to clean, resistant, conductive
Fabric cover: Breathable, soft and comfortable, particularly well suited to clean ESD areas.
Supertec: Textile upholstery covered with sturdy micro-armour. Hard-wearing and robust, comfortable and soft, breathable. Easy to clean.

Good to know: even the slightest unwanted voltage equalisation between surfaces with different charges can damage sensitive technical components. This can result in high follow up costs in the form of subsequent failures, complaints and repair costs. For this reason, electrical components may only be processed in an Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA), which ensure full earthing during all operations at an ESD workstation with special equipment.
