- Safe charging and storage of multiple lithium ion batteries in the cabinet
- Spring loaded door lock for controlled pressure relief in the event of explosions
- MPA tested fire resistance for more than 60 minutes from the inside to the outside
Most fires involving rechargeable lithium batteries that have been investigated occurred during charging.
The storage and charging of lithium batteries must therefore be kept strictly separate for safety reasons.
Fire protection is particularly important when charging rechargeable lithium batteries. Safety battery charging cabinets allow the consequences of fires to be reduced to a minimum and safety at the company to be improved significantly.
Advantages:

Safety when charging:
– TÜV NORD Group verification provided within the latest test programme with real battery fire tests and induced gas explosions
– MPA tested fire resistance for more than 60 minutes from the inside to the outside, based on EN 1363-1
Features:
Mains powered smoke detector, zero current activated by door contact switch or in the event of smoke detection, and zero potential output for connection to a fire alarm system on the outside of the cabinet. Acoustic warning tone, interior temperature display, remote alarm to mobile phone by means of SIM card (not included with delivery), additional functions by means of remote access, 12 V connection option on the outside of the cabinet for e.g. combination alarm device (optical and acoustic) available as an accessory.
