Suitable for locking items of luggage, e.g. bags, suitcases, caskets, backpacks etc. When travelling in the United States of America in particular, using a TSA approved lock on your luggage is recommended to facilitate luggage checks by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) using a TSA key. A lock without TSA key access may be broken open by the authorities without prior consultation with the owner, thereby destroying it.

The 147TSA is equipped with an indicator that shows whether the lock was opened using a TSA key: if the red ring is visible, the lock was opened using a TSA key. If the ring is not visible, it has not been opened.

The fact that it can be used without a key by means of a numerical code is particularly practical. The numerical code can be individually set using 3 number dials.
