Sustainable product

This product actively contributes to protecting our environment and taking social responsibility. It meets our strict sustainability criteria and thus supports an economically, ecologically and socially viable future. The score asks the crucial question for every product: does this product contribute to creating sustainable and fair conditions for today and future generations? Below are the categories in which this product performs particularly well.

You can find out more about product evaluation and our sustainability initiative on our information page .

Biodiversity
Biodiversity refers to the health of ecosystems and the influence on the stability of food chains, the availability of clean water, soil fertility and climate protection, among other things.
This product has more natural components than comparable products and could contribute to the protection of biodiversity. The product's natural components are based on the use of renewable materials to make the product, which in ideal cases are sourced from FSC® or PEFC certified forestry practices, and are also biodegradable after further processing. If there is any plastic in the overall product, it should be limited to the minimum possible. Protecting biodiversity is also possible on the basis of additional product sustainability certificates and when the product manufacturer/supplier has implemented an ISO 14001-certified environmental management system.

Climate change
Climate change refers to changes in the climate on a global scale due to increased emissions of greenhouse gases caused by human activities, such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation.
This product has a less negative impact on climate change than comparable products. Reducing the negative impact on the environment is achieved by a combination of several factors: local, energy efficient production in Germany or Europe to the greatest extent possible, and, for example, the additional calculation, reduction and compensation of CO₂ emissions that occur during the production and shipping process by contributing to internationally recognised climate protection projects.
