IML (In-Mould Labelling) technology
A new and innovative production method for state of the art waste collectors, which feature properties that make them ideal for indoor use and the industrial sector.
During the production process, IML technology involves spraying the back of a multi-layer film with plastic. plastic. During in-mould injection, the plastic melt flows onto the back of the film, fixing it to the outer wall of the mould. Direct melting of an IML label ensures adhesion to the plastic. This makes the films an integral component of the waste collector. The films have been specially developed for the containers and contain a genuine aluminium coating.
In-Mould Labelling has many advantages:
The technology makes it possible to give plastic containers a high quality, metallic finish that is almost indistinguishable from real metal containers. These products also benefit from the typical advantages of plastic: they are lightweight, easy to handle and extremely resilient.
Another advantage is their robustness: IML coatings feature a fixed bond with the material and cannot peel off. At the same time, there is no risk of denting, deformation or rust, as could be the case with real metal containers.
They also prevent visible fingerprints from being left on the surface, and are easy to clean – making them ideal for satisfying high expectations of appearance and function in equal measure.
