Product description
The locking foot is an aid that is used to secure a mobile unit in a fixed position there and then. It is only used for keeping units in place, and does not include a lift function. The locking foot is usually installed on the bottom of a unit next to a castor, or right in the middle between two castors. The distance between the top edge of the base plate and the floor should be 245 mm. When the foot lever is actuated, the height of the unit changes, placing the rubber element in contact with the floor. A compressive force of 125 daN then keeps the unit in place on the floor. When actuated, the castor(s) at the sides cannot be swivelled. The height is changed by means of a toggle lever system. The knee lever system is used to switch the foot lever over dead centre, allowing it to maintain an overall height of 245 mm with a corresponding load of 125 daN of its own accord. Overall height in operation: 250 mm. Overall height when not in operation: 201 mm. The force that needs to be applied to reach dead centre is approx. 30 daN. Briefly pressing the release lever at the side by applying a force of approx. 10 daN returns the locking foot to its initial position. Painted squirrel grey (RAL 7000).
