Provifrost winter de-icing grit for safe traffic areas
The Provifrost winter de-icing grit is a high-performance de-icing granulate for demanding areas of application. The solid de-icing agent is easy to apply and effective down to an operating temperature of –18 °C.
On footpaths, traffic areas and car parks, the de-icing agent supports reliable ice and snow removal. The solid spreading material can be evenly distributed using suitable spreading equipment. Before application, snow-covered surfaces should first be cleared so that the de-icing granulate can act directly on icy patches.
Provifrost is also used on runways, taxiways and aprons at airports. The de-icing granulate is certified to AMS1431 and is therefore designed for areas where conventional de-icing salt cannot be used due to the corrosive properties of sodium chloride. Provifrost is free from de-icing salt and other chlorides. This protects sensitive surfaces, technical materials as well as green spaces and trees.
The spreading material is biodegradable and therefore particularly suitable for surfaces where residues are critical. At the same time, the de-icing agent reduces the risk of corrosion damage to vehicles, systems and components. For safe and economical use, the grit in spreading vehicles should be used up completely. Outdoor storage is to be avoided.
Suitable for airports, municipal winter maintenance services, operational depots, commercial areas, multi-storey car parks, logistics sites and areas with sensitive surfaces and materials.

Store well sealed in the original packaging until use. Reseal open containers tightly, as the product attracts moisture and can clump together. For legally compliant use, please ensure you observe the local bylaws for winter road maintenance, waste water and street cleaning when using winter road maintenance products such as gritting granules or de-icing agents.
