PROSTEP combination tap drill bit set – versatile tool for multiple work steps

The PROSTEP combination tap drill bit set combines multiple machining steps in a single tool. The 7-piece set enables high-precision core hole drilling, thread tapping as well as deburring and countersinking in a single operation. This shortens working times and significantly reduces tool changes.

The PROSTEP stepped tip ensures exact core hole drilling and creates the basis for precisely fitting threads. Subsequently, threads are cleanly cut and hole edges are directly deburred or countersunk. This combination facilitates the workflow and contributes to a constantly high machining quality.

The TiAlN coating increases the wear resistance of the tool and supports a durable service life even with regular use. At the same time, users benefit from high temperature resistance, which means the set is designed for demanding machining tasks. Form E with a 6.35 mm (1/4'') hexagonal shank enables a quick change and secure power transmission in compatible holders.

The set is suitable for steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminium and plastics. It can be used both in hand tools and in suitable machines. For a clean threading result, the material thickness should not exceed the respective thread diameter. The use of a suitable bit holder is recommended, as the drill remains slightly mobile inside it and the thread is reliably protected from damage during reverse rotation.
