STAT-mat® absorbent sheeting mat PIG, light-weight model

The STAT-MAT® absorbent sheeting mat PIG in the light-weight model was developed for the safe absorption and containment of spilled, flammable liquids. It is suitable for demanding spill and cleaning tasks in workshops, production areas, laboratories, warehouses and technical operating environments.

The mat consists of eight layers of 100 % polypropylene. The permanently bonded material is absorbent, does not fall apart and leaves no lint. Even when completely saturated, the mat remains tear-resistant and does not fray. This allows it to be reliably picked up and disposed of without additionally contaminating the affected work area.

The STAT-MAT® model has been specially treated to reduce electrostatic discharges and counteract static charge. This supports additional safety when handling flammable liquids and ignitable vapours. The mat absorbs, among other things, engine oil, hydraulic oil, petrol, diesel, kerosene, acetone, ethyl alcohol, toluene and xylene. Water is repelled. At the same time, the mat floats on water and can therefore also be used to absorb oil-containing liquids on water surfaces.

The light-weight model is an economical solution for small cleaning tasks and operations. It is therefore suitable for extensive cleaning tasks and recurring operations. The perforation across the width enables separation as required. With the dimensions 380 x 510 mm, the mat can be laid out quickly on affected areas.
