SiS Li-Ion 90 Safe Pro battery charging safety cabinet – LaCont without fire suppression system

The LaCont LI-ION SAFE PRO battery cabinet has been specially developed for the active and passive storage of lithium batteries, with GS certification in accordance with the EK5 / AK4 22-01 test principle and a real fire test carried out on the cabinet fitted with lithium batteries at the MPA Dresden.

Due to the stricter requirements of the GS test, the LI-ION SAFE PRO has a tested fire resistance of 90 minutes in accordance with EN14470-1/-2 from the outside to the inside and 90 minutes in accordance with EN 1363-1/-2 from the inside to the outside. The self-closing doors are also tested for continuous operation in accordance with EN 16121 and EN 16122.

The LI-ION SAFE PRO not only provides protection from fires inside the cabinet, but also protects the goods you have in storage from fires from the outside by means of all round fire protection seals that foam up automatically in the event of a fire and the permanently self-closing doors. The aim is to minimise the risk to people from a potential release of explosive burning or toxic gases and smoke. The aim here is to gain time to evacuate people in the vicinity and to allow the fire brigade to initiate extinguishing measures.

Other standard features include an integrated ventilation system to prevent heat from building up in the cabinet, a 5 l sump tray made of sheet steel and manufactured in accordance with AwSV, 4 height adjustable mesh grate shelves with a max. load of 75 kg each (with an evenly distributed load), as well as a base that provides access from below with a panel for ease for movement.

The control unit supplied complete with the delivery features visual and acoustic status signalling and fire alarm monitors the storage process of the Li-ion batteries. If a fire is detected inside the cabinet, the power supply and the integrated ventilation are switched off completely, activating an optical and acoustic alarm. Signals can be forwarded to a control centre by a zero potential contact.

Made of non-flammable material incl. coating (body aluminium in colour / doors RAL 1023 – traffic yellow), zinc plated sheet steel base tray in accordance with AwSV, 5 l collection capacity.
Automatically closing doors, continuously tested in accordance with EN 16121 and EN 16122, hinged doors with centre bar, lockable using profile cylinder lock.

Control unit of the SiS Li-Ion 90 Safe Pro:

– If smoke is detected inside the cabinet, the power supply and the integrated ventilation are switched off completely
– Visual and audible alarms are activated when a fire is detected
– Visual status display provides information on the current status of the cabinet (fire detection, ventilation unit, trailing sockets)
– Includes zero potential contact for signal forwarding (e.g. to a control centre)
– Optional GSM module for remote monitoring and alarm activation upon request
